Sports Reporter

Duties

• Writes and edits scripts and brings the game to life for the viewer, engaging even casual fans.
• Reports on the game and provides an in-depth knowledge of the rules and intricacies of different sports.
• Interviews sports stars and coaches and develops a great network of sources.
• Pitches story ideas, helps plan sports segments and prepackaged content, and contributes to digital content.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly.
• Demonstrated passion for everything related to sports.

Experience Level

• A bachelor's degree in journalism or related field is required.
• Prior reporting experience is required, as well as a demonstrated knowledge of sports.

This position can serve as a platform to become a sports director or primary on-air sports anchor.
